Our Team
Joseph Scherger, M.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Scherger is a family physician and serves as Medical Director of Best Pain Care Centers. He “wears many hats” as one of the most influential healthcare leaders in the area.
- He is the founder of Restore Health Disease Reversal, Indian Wells.
- He is a primary care 365 physician at Eisenhower Health in La Quinta, CA.
- He is a clinical professor of family medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Scherger is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine and received his training in Family Medicine and education in Public Health at the University of Washington.
He practiced traditional medicine and taught in Davis and San Diego, California, before coming to the desert in 2009 to lead primary care and medical education at Eisenhower Health. In 2011 Dr. Scherger began to study and practice Functional Medicine and has successfully reduced body weight and restored health without medications. He is also Medical Director of the anti-aging company, Intervene Immune, and provides anti-aging medicine services.
Laura Padron, Nurse Practitioner
Laura Padron received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and her bachelor's degree in Nursing from California State University Fullerton. She is board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Adult-Gerontology and Acute Care via the American Nursing Credentialing Center. Laura Padron skillfully leads Best Pain Care Centers dedicated staff in providing exemplary care.
